CroisiEurope supports noble causes
$17,800 for the local cancer charity
As part of CroisiEurope’s 40th Anniversary, the business run and owned by the Schmitter family, donated $17,800 to the local branch of France’s major cancer charity “La Ligue contre le cancer”, based in the Alsace region, where CroisiEurope’s headquarters are located in Strasbourg. The amount of $11 per ticket sold for the CroisiEurope Gala Evening organized as part of the Strasbourg Open Days, was donated.
The local branch of the cancer charity funds research, helps the families of cancer patients and promotes cancer screening. In 2015, donations helped support 10 local projects and 2 national cancer programs.
In autumn 2015, CroisiEurope organized a charity fundraising evening on board the MS Beethoven on the Rhine for the Mira Europe Frédéric Gaillanne Foundation, a guide dog training school that put together a program specifically adapted to training dogs for visually-impaired children from the age of 12. The guide dogs are then donated to Children in France and Europe.
The Head of the local delegation, Mr Francis Mattern, contacted CroisiEurope’s CEO thanks to Yvan Muller, the WTCC racing champion, one of the patrons of the foundation. The fundraising evening was hosted as part of this patronage. The donations made by the generous guests helped raise the amount of $36,800, which will help the foundation support the outstanding work carried out by its dog training school.
CroisiEurope was pleased to hear that, a future guide dog puppy was born 2 weeks after the fundraising evening. He was called Beethoven and his training will be funded thanks to CroisiEurope and the patron Yvan Muller.
