DAY 1: STRASBOURG - AMSTERDAM
Meet in the early morning in Strasbourg (river mooring, rue du Havre). Departure by coach to Amsterdam. Lunch in a restaurant or on board. Walking tour in Amsterdam. Boarding at 6.00pm. Welcome cocktail and presentation of the crew. Optional excursion by river boat in Amsterdam.
DAY 2: AMSTERDAM
Departure for the optional excursion to Volendam and the Zaanse Schans. In the afternoon, optional excursion to The Hague and its hidden courtyards. Free evening in Amsterdam, optional trip to the city centre for a stroll around the Red Light district.
DAY 3: AMSTERDAM - GRONINGEN - DELFZIJL
Morning spent cruising to Groningen. Free tour of the main city in the northern region of Holland. Departure of the boat towards Delfzijl. Evening of entertainment.
DAY 4: DELFZIJL - PAPENBURG - OLDENBURG
Cruise to Papenburg. Optional tour of the naval shipyard of Meyer Werft. Return on board in Doerpen, cruise to Oldenburg. Arrival during the night.
DAY 5: OLDENBURG - BREMEN
Free time for a brief stroll around Oldenburg. Departure of the boat for Bremen. Optional tour of the oldest maritime city in Germany and the second largest trading port in Germany after Hamburg. Free evening in the city.
DAY 6: BREMEN - NIENBURG - STOLZENAU - MINDEN
Departure of the boat in the early morning for Nienburg. Optional transfer by coach to Nienburg. Free tour of the “red town” which, among other things, has a magnificent Town Hall from the Weser Renaissance. During this time, the boat will sail to Stolzenau. Cruise in the direction of Minden.
DAY 7: MINDEN - HANOVER - ANDERTEN - BRAUNSCHWEIG
Departure of the boat early in the morning for Hannover. Optional tour of the city of Hannover. The capital of Lower Saxony, this is one of the main economic centres in Germany. Return on board in Anderten. Continuation in the direction of Braunschweig. Gala evening.
DAY 8: BRAUNSCHWEIG - BULSTRINGEN - MAGDEBURG
Departure of the boat in the early morning for Bulstringen. Optional tour of Magdeburg, a town situated on the middle course of the Elbe and the “romanesque trail”. The cathedral is one of the most important of Gothic edifices. Return on board in Magdeburg. Free evening.
DAY 9: MAGDEBURG - BRANDENBURG - POTSDAM
Departure of the boat in the early morning for Brandenburg. In the afternoon, optional excursion to Potsdam and the gardens of the Sanssoucis palace. During this time, the boat will continue its course for Potsdam where we will rejoin it.
DAY 10: POTSDAM - BERLIN
Departure of the boat for Berlin Spandau. Optional excursion to the city which was long divided, illustrating the division of the world into two blocks. Return on board, optional tour of Berlin by night.
DAY 11: BERLIN
Optional visit to Charlottenburg castle. Free afternoon in Berlin. Free evening.
DAY 12: BERLIN - NUREMBERG
Disembark and departure by coach for Leipzig. Tour of the city. Discover the church of Saint Thomas and the former stock exchange, among other things. Continuation in the direction of Nurnberg. Move into a hotel in Nuremberg or the surrounding area.
DAY 13: NUREMBEG - STRASBOURG
Tour of Nurnberg: an ancient city of bronze foundries and goldbeaters, it is now one of the main industrial centers in southern Germany. Back to Strasbourg. You are free to take lunch on the way. End of our journey.
