DECEMBER 23: BRUSSELS
Full board on board. Guided tour of Brussels. The Belgian capital kept its traditional style from its Flemish past as the Grand Place district, classified as World Heritage by UNESCO, shows. In the afternoon, transfer by coach to the Christmas Market of Brussels. Various stands in small chalets, run by local and international craftsmen, are set up around the Place de la Bourse, the fish market square and Place Sainte Catherine. The atmosphere is enlivened by various entertainments. Overnight.
DECEMBER 24: BRUSSELS - ANTWERP - GHENT
Early in the morning, departure of the boat toward Anvers. Full board on board. Guided tour of Antwerp. Highly esteemed city in the 16th century, Antwerp was one of the “pearls” in the crown of Spain. The Notre Dame Cathedral (2), is the home to some extraordinary works of art including four paintings by Rubens, one of the most famous Flemish baroque painters. Afternoon spent cruising toward Ghent. Christmas Eve evening. Midnight mass in Ghent based on availability (book and pay for transfer on board (1)). Overnight.
DECEMBER 25: GHENT
Full board on board. Guided tour of Ghent. The historic heart of the city offers a remarkable variety of sites. From the top of the Saint Michael’s Bridge, you can marvel at Ghent’s landscape with its succession of three towers: Saint Nicolas' Church, the belfry with its array of bells and Saint Bavo’s Cathedral. This cathedral houses the famous Ghent Altarpiece by Jan Van Eyck (1432). Afternoon spent cruising toward Brussels. Gala evening. Sailing by night.
DECEMBER 26: BRUSSELS
Early in the morning, arrival in Brussels. Buffet breakfast on board. Disembark at 9.00 a.m. End of our services.
