BORDEAUX - PAUILLAC - BLAYE - BOURG or LIBOURNE(1) - SAINT EMILION - BORDEAUX

 

The Bordeaux region offers an incredible range of attractions for those who appreciate fine food and wines.

 

 

DAY 1: BORDEAUX

Passengers are welcome to board the ship in Bordeaux at 6:00 p.m. After comfortably settling into your cabin, enjoy a welcome cocktail with the crew. Optional excursion for both packages: Guided tour of Bordeaux by night (reservation in advance is essential; please contact your travel agency).

DAY 2: BORDEAUX - PAUILLAC(2)

We'll begin to cruise early in the morning. We will cruise down the Garonne to the Gironde, passing alongside the islands of Cazeau and Patiras before reaching Pauillac.
Optional Excursions proposed:
CLASSIC and DISCOVERY: Helicopter ride: Fly over the gorgeous Médoc.(2) Experience a bird's eye view of the numerous châteaux and famous vineyards that give the region its reputation. It's a once in a lifetime experience! (Proposed as a supplement for the classic package)
In the afternoon: optional excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Excursion to visit the Medoc (reservation in advance is essential; please contact your travel agency)
DISCOVERY: Medoc: Biking, wine and cheese. With a tour guide, you'll leave from the port on your bike to explore the vineyards and prestigious châteaux in Pauillac. What better reward for the effort than a lovely glass of grand cru and some regional cheeses served in a prestigious château in the heart of Pauillac.
Enjoy an evening of onboard entertainment.

DAY 3: PAUILLAC(2) - Gironde Estuary - BLAYE

We'll begin to cruise early in the morning for Blaye, known for its citadel built in the 17th century by Vauban in order to better protect the city of Bordeaux.
Optional Excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Excursion along the Route de la Corniche Fleurie and a guided tour of the citadel. We’ll finish up our tour with a tasting of the famous Blaye "praslines."
DISCOVERY: Blaye and its underground monuments. After our tour, we'll walk a few more feet to a local vineyard and taste some regional products with an excellent glass of wine.
We'll return on board. Enjoy an evening of dancing after dinner.

DAY 4: BLAYE - LIBOURNE(2) - SAINT-EMILION(1)

We'll cruise to Libourne.
Optional excursion for both packages: Saint-Emilion. We'll return to the boat in Libourne. Tonight is our festive gala evening.

DAY 5: LIBOURNE OR BOURG(2) - BORDEAUX

We'll cruise to Bordeaux this morning. Enjoy breakfast before disembarking at 11:00 a.m..

 

For an optimal organization of the cruise, the organization of excursions can be modified according to the tide.

Note to coach : coaches double floors are not allowed on many road in Gironde, including Libourne, Saint Emilion, Blaye.

 

 

NB: For the safety of our passengers, the captain and crew of the boat may decide to modify the navigational itinerary. The cruise schedule may vary according to tides and arrival times at ports of call may be subject to change. (1) Optional excursions. (2) Depending on the tide, stopover in Pauillac may be replaced by Cussac-Fort-Médoc and Libourne by Bourg. (3) This excursion must be pre-booked in advance through your travel agent. Depending on availability and subject to favorable weather conditions. Alcohol can damage your health. Please drink in moderation.
