BORDEAUX - PAUILLAC - BLAYE - LIBOURNE or BOURG (1)- SAINT EMILION - BORDEAUX

 

Steeped in history, wine and natural treasures, the Bordeaux region offers an astonishing range of delights that captivate the eyes and taste buds alike.

 


DAY 1 : BORDEAUX

Passengers are welcome to board the ship in Bordeaux at 6:00 p.m. After comfortably settling into your cabin, enjoy a welcome cocktail with the crew. Optional excursion for both packages: Guided tour of Bordeaux by night (reservation in advance is essential; please contact your travel agency).

DAY 2 : BORDEAUX - PAUILLAC(2)

We'll begin to cruise early in the morning. We will cruise down the Garonne to the Gironde, passing alongside the islands of Cazeau and Patiras before reaching Pauillac.
Optional Excursions proposed:
CLASSIC and DISCOVERY: Helicopter ride: Fly over the gorgeous Médoc.(2) Experience a bird's eye view of the numerous châteaux and famous vineyards that give the region its reputation. It's a once in a lifetime experience! (Proposed as a supplement for the classic package)
In the afternoon: Optional exursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Excursion to visit the Medoc (reservation in advance is essential; please contact your travel agency)
DISCOVERY: Medoc: Biking, wine and cheese. With a tour guide, you'll leave from the port on your bike to explore the vineyards and prestigious châteaux in Pauillac. What better reward for the effort than a lovely glass of grand cru and some regional cheeses served in a prestigious château in the heart of Pauillac.
Enjoy an evening of onboard entertainment.

DAY 3 : PAUILLAC(2) - GIRONDE ESTUARY - BLAYE

We'll begin to cruise early in the morning for Blaye, known for its citadel built in the 17th century by Vauban in order to better protect the city of Bordeaux.
Optional Excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Excursion along the Route de la Corniche Fleurie and a guided tour of the citadel. We’ll finish up our tour with a tasting of the famous Blaye "praslines."
DISCOVERY: Blaye and its underground monuments. After our tour, we'll walk a few more feet to a local vineyard and taste some regional products with an excellent glass of wine.
We'll return on board. Enjoy an evening of dancing after dinner.

DAY 4 : BLAYE - BOURG (2) - SAINT-EMILION(1)

We'll cruise to Libourne.
Excursion for both packages: Excursion to Saint-Emilion. We'll return to the boat in Libourne. Tonight is our festive gala evening.

DAY 5 : BOURG(2) or LIBOURNE - BORDEAUX

We'll cruise to Bordeaux this morning.
Optional Excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Guided tour of the city.
DISCOVERY: Biking in Bordeaux. We'll leave by bike from the Quai des Chartrons to see the locations and monuments in Bordeaux that have been listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites. The bike tour will finish up with a visit to the wine museum, located just a few steps from our ship and our visit will be followed by a glass of wine and a snack of cannelé, a local pastry.
Tonight's entertainment will be provided by the crew.

DAY 6 : BORDEAUX

Enjoy breakfast before disembarking at 9:00 a.m.

 

For an optimal organization of the cruise, the organization of excursions can be modified according to the tide.

 

 

NB: Please note that CroisiEurope and the ship’s captain reserve the right to modify the cruising itinerary to ensure the safe navigation of the vessel. This cruise is dependent on the sea and tides and arrivals at stopovers may have to be adjusted accordingly. (1) Optional excursions. (2) Depending on the tide, stopover in Pauillac may be replaced by Cussac-Fort-Médoc and Libourne by Bourg. (3) This excursion must be pre-booked in advance through your travel agent. Depending on availability and subject to favorable weather conditions. Alcohol abuse can damage your health. Drink in moderation.
