DAY 1 AVIGNON
Boarding at 6.00pm, Allée de l’Oule’s quay (near port Daladier). Time to settle comfortably in your cabins before meeting the crew during a welcome cocktail reception, followed by a typical provencal dinner served in the dining room. The evening will continue on a sunny note in the lounge with a display of provencal folk dances. Overnight stop.
DAY 2 AVIGNON - SAINT-GILLES (visit the Camargue)
After a pleasant night on board, enjoy a buffet breakfast in the dining room before the ship cruises away at 8.00am towards Saint-Gilles. Along the way, admire the historic scenery of the Rhône valley before passing the lock in Valabrègues, where the Rhône splits into two arteries - the main river flows down to the Mediterranean, whereas the “little Rhone” continues on to the Camargue. Lunch while cruising. Arrival in Saint-Gilles around 1.00pm. Set off on the guided tour across the picturesque Camargue region including a stop in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. Spot some wild white horses and pink flamingos in the rice fields and salt marshlands. Return to the ship in Arles for a “sunny evening” organised by the crew.
DAY 3 MARTIGUES(1) (visit of Marseille)
Breakfast while cruising along the Rhône through the lock in Barcarin, on to the Rhône canal in Fos sur Mer, before continuing along the Fos canal to Port de Bouc where we join the Mediterranean coast. Arrival in Martigues around 1.00pm. Lunch on board. Choose to leave on the sightseeing tour of Marseille, with its famous Canebière (promenade), old Port, church Notre Dame de la Garde. Return to the ship early evening for dinner.
DAY 4 MARTIGUES(1) - ARLES (visit the Baux de Provence)
Breakfast on board before cruising off around 8.00am. Enjoy an entertaining morning on board. Lunch than departure by coach to the tour of Baux de Provence around 2.00pm. Visit this ancient city of the Middle Ages and Renaissance period situated on a steep promontory of the lower Alpilles and one of the many cruise highlights of this part of Provence. Back to the ship for dinner and a gala evening.
DAY 5 AVIGNON
Breakfast on board before disembarking at 9.00am. End of our services.
