LYON - AVIGNON - ARLES - MARTIGUES - LES BAUX DE PROVENCE - VIVIERS - TAIN L'HERMITAGE - LYON - PARIS - ROUEN - HONFLEUR - VERNON - PARIS

DAY 1: LYON

Boarding in Lyon around 3pm.We settle into our cabins and spend the afternoon afloat. In the evening, we are introduced to the crew over a welcome cocktail before dinner on board and an evening of entertainment. We continue our cruise through the night.


DAY 2: AVIGNON - ARLES

Full board on board. Spend a relaxing morning afloat as our cruise takes us along the majority of the course of this great river on a quite remarkable journey. The scenery is such that the cruise is quite unlike any other. We also have lunch as we cruise, arriving around 2pm in Avignon. From here, we set off on our guided tour of the Papal City, a veritable citadel overlooking the bridge, set high on a rocky outcrop and surrounded by city walls. Return on board. We set sail for Arles during the evening, where we moor for the night.


DAY 3: ARLES - PORT SAINT LOUIS - MARTIGUES(1)

Full board on board. We set off around in the morning on our excursion to the Camargue, this huge nature reserve where the sea and marshland are inhabited by an amazing array of water fowl and birds. We have free time in the delightful town of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, a remarkable twice-yearly pilgrimage centre for gypsies from all over Europe, with an interesting fortified church. We return on board in Port Saint Louis and continue our cruise. Our afternoon is spent afloat, gently cruising to Martigues, where we arrive late afternoon. We have some free time for independent exploration before we set sail again and head for Avignon. Dinner is taken on board as we cruise and we continue our journey through the night.


DAY 4 : AVIGNON – LES BAUX DE PROVENCE – VIVIERS - The Ardèche Gorges

Full board on board. This morning we can either enjoy some free time in Avignon or join an excursion to les Baux de Provence, undoubtedly one of the prettiest villages in France. It is located in the heart of the Alpilles mountains on a rocky outcrop with exceptional, breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. We return on board for lunch and set sail again to Roquemaure. Departure for the excursion by coach to visit the Ardèche gorges and to discover the Pont d'Arc Cavern, a replica of Chauvet Cave. We head for Saint-Etienne-des-Sorts and rejoin our floating hotel late afternoon, before heading for Viviers, where we will moor for the night.

DAY 5: VIVIERS - TAIN L'HERMITAGE - The Vercors

Full board on board. Cruise towards La Voulte. In the afternoon, excursion to the Vercors. We set off by coach for Loriol, where we visit a cellar and have tastings of the famous “Clairette de Die” sparkling wine. Afterwards, we drive along the Col du Rousset mountain road from where there are spectacular panoramic views over the Vercors plateau. We head for Tain l’Hermitage and rejoin our floating hotel in time to prepare for our Gala Dinner and evening of entertainment. We moor awhile in Tain l’Hermitage before continuing our cruise again as we sleep.


DAY 6: TAIN L'HERMITAGE - LYON - PARIS

Buffet breakfast on board. This morning we continue our cruise to Lyon. Guided tour of Lyon. Disembarkment. Transfer to Paris by bus. At your arrival in Paris, board the ship and settle into your cabin. The crew will be introduced to you during the welcome cocktail. We will cruise past the most wonderful locations of Paris by night. Shimmering in a thousand and one lights, Paris exercises an almost magical power of attraction. We will glide silently past the Eiffel Tower, the Grand Palais, the Orangerie, the Louvre and Notre-Dame cathedral which dominates the Ile de la Cité.


DAY 7: PARIS - LES ANDELYS - ROUEN

Full board on board. Morning spent cruising, passing through a number of locks and towns such as Conflans Ste Honorine, Vernon. Arrival in Andelys early afternoon. Departure by coach for the visit to the Martainville castle. Meanwhile, the boat will sail to Rouen. In the evening, walking guided tour, of the old city by night, the former capital of Normandy, the historic neighbourhoods, the “Place du Vieux Marché” where Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake. Back to the boat. In the night, departure of the cruise for Honfleur (depending on the tide schedule).


DAY 8: ROUEN - HONFLEUR

Full board on board. Arrival in Honfleur depending on the tides. The morning will be devoted to the guided tour of the town on foot, with its fishing port, its picturesque streets with their old houses, the salt lofts and Saint Catherine’s church, built entirely of wood. In the afternoon, join the excursion to the “Floral Coast”, Trouville, Deauville, tour of a distillery where the famous Calvados is made. We will then cast off to leave the port of Honfleur. We will be passing under the superb Pont de Normandie before heading up the Seine (depending on the tide schedule).


DAY 9: HONFLEUR - DUCLAIR

Full board on board. We will be cruising on the Seine and enjoy wonderful scenery. Enjoy a “guinguette” on board to experience the atmosphere “of Sundays on the banks of the Marne”. Dinner and gala evening.


DAY 10: PARIS

Breakfast on board. At 10.00am, this magnificent cruise will come to an end. End of our services.

For the safety of our passengers, the captain and crew of the boat may decide to modify the navigational itinerary. (1) Depending on the availability of mooring points, the stop at Martigues may be replaced by a stop at Port Saint Louis du Rhône. Alcohol can damage your health. Please drink in moderation.
