Description

The tour of the Château d’Auvers-sur-Oise will be replaced by a guided tour of Auvers-sur-Oise and the Daubigny Museum as the castle is currently closed for renovation.

We'll set off by coach towards Auvers-sur-Oise for a guided tour of this village which has remained untouched since the 19th century. Follow the footsteps of the impressionists as you walk past charming stone houses, walls covered in ivy, the church and the graveyard, a chance to grasp how the Impressionist movement emerged and bloomed. You'll also get to see Dr. Gachet's house where Van Gogh lived and passed. Afterwards, we'll visit the Daubigny Museum that houses the works of Charles François Daubigny in the setting of the Manoir des Colombières, a beautiful 17th century manor. In 2017, we’ll celebrate the bicentennial of Daubigny’s birth.
