Description

Description

Set off by coach to the medieval castle at Champlitte, which has been a listed historical monument since 1909. The castle was first a stronghold and then a home, and was a seat of power located at the boundary of both the Duchy and the County of Burgundy. You will be able to admire the architecture of the castle and understand its history through your guided visit. Flemish influences are in great evidence but nonetheless, the décor is much more provincial in style. You will also visit the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions, an ethnological museum located in the castle, where the wealth of exhibits gives a glimpse into life at the turn of the 20th century. Return on board by coach.
