Description

Description

We’ll leave by boat for a full-day excursion on Lake Titicaca. We’ll visit the floating islands which are inhabited by Uros Indians. Their way of life and traditions are fascinating. They live on islands made of living reeds that float around the lake. Legend has it that the natives were forced to take up residence here by Incan emperors exploiting them. We’ll boat around the islands, meet several families, and take time to relax. Lunch will be served to us in a native home. You may get to taste quinoa soup or lake trout. After our trip, we’ll return to Puno by boat. Enjoy a bit of free time. From the large patio of your 4 star hotel, you can take in splendid views of the snowcapped Andes Mountains and the nearby Bolivian border.
