Description

After visiting Iaroslavl, the coach will leave for Rostov the Great. Founded in the IXth century on the banks of Lake Nero, Rostov is one of the oldest cities in the Golden Ring. The city has played a major role in the country's history and in the formation of its culture. Panoramic city tour. You will visit the Kremlin which was once the Metropolitan's residence. Its gold and silver roofs, its domes and its openwork crosses glint in the sunshine for an enchanting effect. Founded in the XIIth century, today it consists mainly of buildings dating from the 1670s and 1680s. Next, visit of the Dormition Cathedral which was built in 1162 by the Great Prince Andrei Bogoliubsky. Although it has been modified on several occasions, the Cathedral still has its original foundations. Return to the boat.
