MONTBELIARD - L'ISLE-SUR-LE-DOUBS - CLERVAL - BAUMES-LES-DAMES - DELUZ - BESANCON

This cruise will guarantee a complete change of scenery along the Doubs River in completely natural and untouched surroundings. Franche-Comté's history has shaped the architectural landscape, leaving behind many amazing physical reminders over the years. A journey from Montbéliard, the city of the Princes, to Besançon and the Vauban citadel, our tour will take you from town to village, as we are transported through the ages and encounter the locals. However, the Franche-Comté region is also known for its rich diversity of landscapes, from mountains and forests, to rapids and rivers. Here, you will relax in the great outdoors, walking and rambling through the countryside.

DAY 1: MONTBELIARD

Passengers are welcome to board our ship at 6:00 p.m. in Montbeliard. After comfortably settling into your cabins, we’ll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail.

DAY 2: MONTBELIARD - L'ISLE-SUR-LE-DOUBS

Join us on a walking tour through the historic heart of Montbéliard, a former Württemberg principality. The afternoon will be spent cruising towards l'Isle-sur-le-Doubs. Take time to relax and admire the beautiful scenery in the Doubs Valley, or to walk or cycle along the canal paths alongside the boat (2).

DAY 3: L'ISLE-SUR-LE-DOUBS - CLERVAL

The morning will be spent cruising towards Clerval. At any time you are free to bike along the banks of the Doubs River by taking the EuroVelo 6 Cycle Route (2). In the afternoon, we’ll discover the hiking path to the Reposoir Chapel (1).

DAY 4: CLERVAL - BAUMES-LES-DAMES

The morning will be spent cruising towards Baumes-Les-Dames that we will reach in the afternoon. You will relax and enjoy a breakfast buffet as we cruise the river for the rest of the morning. During the morning, you are free to bike alongside the boat (2) by riding on the EuroVelo 6 Cycle Route. You can come and go as you please, returning on board at any time. Enjoy a relaxing lunch on board before we arrive in Baumes-les-Dames early in the afternoon. We’ll set off for a guided tour of Baumes-les-Dames. Here we'll discover the ancient town center, including typical buildings full of character, and the beautiful abbey. We’ll enjoy a tasting of local products before returning on board.

DAY 5: BAUMES-LES-DAMES - DELUZ

The morning will be spent cruising towards Deluz. In the afternoon, we’ll discover the various hiking paths around the town (1). You'll have the opportunity to discover the Pelouse Sèche (dry grassland) site, which is part of the Natura 2000 project.

DAY 6: DELUZ - BESANCON

The morning will be spent cruising toward Besancon. During the morning, you are free to bike alongside the boat (2) by riding on the EuroVelo 6 Cycle Route. Early in the afternoon, we’ll reach in Besancon and set out on a guided tour of the Citadel of Besançon. After the visit, enjoy some free time to visit the Citadel's various museums, including the Resistance and Deportation Museum, the Comtois Museum and the Natural History Museum. Tonight is our gala evening and dinner.

DAY 7: BESANCON

Enjoy one last buffet breakfast on board before disembarking at 9.00 a.m. End of our services.
 

For the safety of our passengers, the captain and crew of the boat may decide to modify the navigational itinerary. The itinerary is subject to mooring availability at locks or ports, and may be modified as necessary. Alcohol can damage your health. Please drink in moderation.

(2) Timetables and embarkation/disembarkation points will be announced on board by the ship's Captain.
