Nature's authentic heritage: hike in the South-West of France

Passengers are welcome to board our ship at 6:00 p.m. After comfortably settling into your cabins, meet the crew at a welcome cocktail. We'll introduce our hiking program before dinner. The evening is free to do as you please.

DAY 2: BORDEAUX - LIBOURNE(1) - Saint-Emilion

We'll cruise towards Libourne.
Hikers' Program: Saint-Laurent-des-Combes, a vineyard built on the slopes of Saint-Emilion. We'll depart by coach for our hike through the woods and the vines, a remarquable rural heritage, and stop for a wine-tasting session at a local wine estate. (Length 2 - 2½ hours, distance 9 km (5.6 miles), ascent 100m (330 ft.))
Non-hikers' Program: Excursion to Saint Emilion, whose most original monument is most certainly its monolithic church.
We'll return on board and enjoy time at leisure tonight.


We will head down the Garonne and the Gironde Rivers, passing the islands of Cazeau and Patiras before reaching Pauillac.
Hikers' Program: Hiking the St. Seurinoise loop. We'll depart by coach towards Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne for our hike through the Médoc region. This easy-paced hike will allow you to discover the charming heritage of the area nestled between the ocean and the Gironde estuary. We'll finish up our hike with a wine-tasting session in a château before hopping back on our coach. (Length 2½ - 3 hours, 11 km (6.8 miles), no incline.)
Non-hikers' Program: Following the trail of the Grands Crus of the Médoc region, where the most prestigious red wines in the world are made.
We'll return on board and enjoy an evening of entertainment.

DAY 4: PAUILLAC(1) - BLAYE - The Gironde Estuary

We'll start cruising towards Blaye whose citadel built by Vauban is not to be missed. 
Hikers' Program: Hike through the slopes of Bourg. We'll depart by coach for a hike in the Bourg region which will delight hikers as much as the next wine lover. We'll stop in Bourg before continuing our route to Blaye for a visit of its famous citadel. We'll return on board by coach. (Length 3 hours, distance 10 km (6.2 miles), ascent of 150m (492 ft.))
Non-hikers' Program: Excursion along the cliff Route de la Corniche. The road snakes alongside the Dordogne River before revealing the Gironde Estuary.
We'll return on board and cruise along the Gironde as far as the estuary itself (subject to favorable weather conditions.) We will pass the marshlands, Meschers-sur-Gironde with its steep cliffs, troglodyte houses and fishermen's huts before reaching Blaye. Enjoy an evening of dancing.


We'll cruise to Bordeaux, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Hikers' Program: The hidden faces of Bordeaux. This original and unique walk will take you past the main monuments of the city (Place des Quinconces, Grand Théâtre or the Porte de Bourgogne) as well as more secret and unusual locations, haunted by the shadows of Montaigne or Cagliostro. (Length 2½ - 3 hours, 7 km (4.3 miles), no incline.)
Non-hikers' Program: Guided tour of Bordeaux.
Tonight's our gala dinner and evening.


Enjoy one last buffet breakfast on board before disembarking at 9.00 a.m. End of our services.


For an optimal organization of the cruise, the organization of excursions can be modified according to the tide.

Note to coach : double-decker buses are not allowed on many roads in Gironde, including Libourne, Saint-Emilion, Blaye and Cadillac.

NB : For the safety of our passengers, the captain and crew of the boat may decide to modify the navigational itinerary. The cruise schedule may vary according to tides and arrival times at ports of call may be subject to change. (1) Depending on the tide, the stopover in Pauillac may be replaced by Cussac-Fort-Médoc and Libourne by Bourg. In this event, the order of the visits could change. Alcohol can be harmful to your health. Please drink in moderation.
