DAY 1: NAPLES
Passengers are welcome to board our ship at 6:00 p.m. After comfortably settling into your cabins, we'll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail. Dinner will be served on board, followed by an evening of entertainment in the lounge.
DAY 2: NAPLES
We’ll set out on a full-day excursion to Capri and Anacapri (1) (lunch included.) We'll take an airboat or a ferry to splendid Capri (depending on the crossing times.) We'll head to the village of Anacapri and visit the villa San Michele. Anacapri is located in the highest part of the island. From the villa gardens you'll have a fantastic view of the city of Capri, the Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. In the afternoon, enjoy some free time on your own or visit the Gardens of Augustus, offering splendid views of the sea and fantastic photographic vistas. We'll return to Naples by airboat or ferry. Tonight we'll enjoy songs and music from the Naples region.
DAY 3: NAPLES
Join us on a tour of Herculaneum. Destroyed by an earthquake in 62 AD, the subsequent eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD saw Herculaneum submerged in a sea of mud that essentially fossilized the city. After our tour, we'll return to the ship and spend the afternoon cruising to Civitavecchia. Enjoy dinner and an evening of entertainment.
DAY 4: CIVITAVECCHIA - ROME, the Eternal City
Join us for a full-day excursion to Rome, the “Eternal City” (lunch included.) You’ll visit the exteriors of all the must-see sites of the Italian capital, including the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. On foot, you’ll discover the grandiose Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and the legendary Piazza Navona. After lunch, we’ll visit Vatican City to admire St. Peter's Square and Basilica, regarded as one of the greatest buildings of its age. At the end of our tour, we’ll return to the ship by coach. Our ship will cast off in the evening.
DAY 5: PORTOFERRAIO - Elba - LIVORNO
We'll arrive in Elba early in the morning. Elba is the biggest island of the Tuscan Archipelago and the third largest in Italy after Sardinia and Sicily. We'll leave on a guided panoramic tour of the island to see the photogenic beaches at Biodola and Procchio. We'll also stop at Marciana Marina, a charming, small city whose old town is considered among the most beautiful in Italy. Enjoy some free time before we hit the road again for Chiessi, a small hamlet surrounded by granite cliffs, and Pomonte, famous for its white sand beaches. We'll then head to the small fishing village of Marina di Campo, one of the best known resorts on the island dominated by its tower. After our visit, you'll have some free time to sightsee on your own before heading back to the ship. We'll cast off for Livorno. After dinner, enjoy an evening of entertainment.
DAY 6: LIVORNO - Florence - Pisa - LIVORNO
We’ll set out on a full-day excursion to Florence and Pisa. Nestled among the exquisite Tuscan hills, Florence is one of the most beautiful cities in Italy. Join us for a guided tour of its magnificent center. We'll have lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch, we'll set off for Pisa, the city that dominated the western Mediterranean in the middle ages thanks to its powerful fleet. Take your time walking through the la Piazza dei Miracoli and enjoy the religious buildings (exteriors - entrance fees not included): the Pisa Cathedral, the Pisa Baptistery, the Campanile, and the Camposanto Monumentale. You'll also have time to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa. We'll return to the Port of Livorno and begin to cruise towards Monaco.
DAY 7: MONACO - NICE
We'll spend the morning cruising, before arriving in Monaco. We'll visit the legendary Rock of Monaco, a tall monolith surrounded by old quarter battlements in the heart of the City of Princes. At the end of the day, we'll set off towards Nice. Tonight is our festive gala evening.
DAY 8: NICE
Enjoy one last breakfast on board before disembarking at 9:00 a.m. End of our services.
