DAY 1: OSTEND
Passengers are welcome to board starting at 5:00 p.m. in Ostend. Our boat will depart while you take time to comfortably settle in your cabin. This evening, we'll introduce our crew to you during our welcome cocktail party. Afterward, dinner will be served in the dining room. The boat might make a stopover during the night, depending on cruising conditions.
DAY 2: BRUGES - GHENT
You'll enjoy breakfast during our morning cruise, while sailing on the Bruges-Ghent-Ostend Canal before we arrive in Bruges around 9:00 a.m. Once in port, we’ll set off for an optional excursion to picturesque Bruges. Well-known for its lace production and filled with a quaint, old-fashioned charm, Bruges has been one of the most important cultural centers in northern Europe for some 200 years. After the visit, we'll return on board. Following lunch, you can join us for an optional guided tour of Ghent. Founded in the 7th century, Ghent is one of the most authentic historical cities full of magnificent buildings dating from the Middle Ages. After our visit, we’ll rejoin the ship in Lovendegen. We’ll once again continue our cruise while we remain in port overnight. Enjoying dinner and an evening of entertainment on board.
DAY 3: GHENT - TOURNAI - MONS
Our boat will cast off early in the morning. During our morning cruise, you can enjoy breakfast. We’ll arrive in Oudenarde at 9:00a.m., where we’ll leave by coach for an optional guided tour of Tournai. Before becoming a Royal city under the Salian Franks, it was a Roman town and played an active role in the spectacular development of Northern Europe. The city has kept a great number of treasures from that period: its half-Romanesque, half-Gothic cathedral, Grand-Place and “Bridge of Holes”. After your afternoon, you'll return back on board and we will get ready to cast off once again. Following lunch, we’ll arrive in Péronnes-lez-Antoing, before leaving on an optional excursion to the Château de Belœil. Home to princes for over six centuries, the château boasts a rich collection of antiques from between the 15th and 19th centuries, not to mention a famous library with over 20,000 works. A tourist train will take you across the huge 17th century park, which stretches over 62 acres, to admire the most beautiful formal gardens in Europe.
We’ll rejoin our ship and continue cruising to Mons, arriving at the end of the day. Tonight, we’ll enjoy dinner and an evening of entertainment on board.
DAY 4: MONS – STREPY-THIEU - AUVELAIS
During our morning cruise, you can enjoy breakfast as we pass through to the Strepy-Thieu boat lift. For the moment, the Strepy-Thieu boat lift is the tallest in the world. Relax during lunch on board as well. We’ll stop off in Gosselis for an excursion to the Aulne Abbey, followed by a visit to the Val de Sambre brewery. After our full afternoon, we'll return back on board and cast off once again. We’ll cruise gently down the Sambre River, arriving in Auvelais in the evening. This evening, you’re invited to our gala dinner followed by an evening of entertainment in the lounge. We’ll remain in port overnight.
DAY 5: AUVELAIS - NAMUR - DINANT
Our ship will leave early in the morning for Namur. Enjoy breakfast on board and then after the arrival of our ship, join us for an optional guided tour of Namur. This charming town is situated at the confluence of the Sambre and Meuse Rivers and dominated by its imposing citadel. Spend some time sightseeing on your own, or join us for an optional guided tour where we’ll taste some chocolate followed by a visit on foot of Namur’s historical center. We’ll return on board for lunch and depart for Dinant. We’ll arrive in Dinant at approximately 5:00 p.m. After dinner on board this evening, have a walk and explore the town in the company of our host/hostess.
DAY 6: DINANT
Enjoy breakfast on board before disembarking at 9:00 a.m.
