PARIS - VERNON - ROUEN - DUCLAIR - HONFLEUR - Mont Saint Michel - NANTES - ST NAZAIRE - ANCENIS - ANGERS - ANCENIS - NANTES - Cognac - BORDEAUX - PAUILAC - BLAYE - LIBOURNE (3) - BORDEAUX

Day 1: PARIS

Boarding between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. Dinner on board. Cruise along the Seine (water level permitting) to take in enchanting Paris by night. We'll glide gently past the Eiffel Tower, the Grand Palais, the Orangerie, the Louvre and Notre-Dame Cathedral, which dominates the Ile de la Cité. Overnight stop.

Day 2: PARIS - VERNON

Full board on board. We'll pass the impressive concrete and glass buildings of the futuristic business district of La Défense. Guided tour of the Versailles Château(1), one of the most famous and prestigious historical monuments in the world. On Mondays, the trip to Versailles will be replaced with a trip to the Château de Malmaison (2) Afterwards, we'll return to the ship in Mantes-la-Jolie and continue cruising to Vernon. Overnight stop.

Day 3: VERNON - ROUEN - DUCLAIR

Full board on board. In the morning, we'll cruise pass Les Andelys and Amfreville. Once we arrive in Rouen, guided tour of the former capital of Normandy. During this tour we will discover the wonderful cathedral, historic districts, and the historic Market Square where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake. We’ll then continue our cruise to Duclair, arriving in Honfleur in the evening (depending on the tides). Gala evening.

Day 4: DUCLAIR - HONFLEUR

Full board on board. Full-day excursion (lunch included): The Landing Beaches,  to see the sites of one of the most important events of the 20th century: the landing of the Allies in France. This tour will take you to many of the key places during the landings in 1944. Free evening in the lovely Honfleur port. Overnight.

Day 5: HONFLEUR - Mont Saint-Michel - NANTES

Full board. Departure by coach for Mont Saint-Michel. Guided visit of the abbey. The Mont was dedicated to Saint Michael in 708 when, according to legend, Saint Aubert was visited by the Archangel himself and instructed to build the monastery. After our visit, we’ll leave by coach for Nantes. Boarding between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. Welcome evening. Cruise on what King Francois Ist called the “most beautiful river in France”: The Erdre.

Day 6: NANTES - SAINT-NAZAIRE

Full board on board. Guided tour of Nantes. Nantes offers a stunning diversity of sites, including the Castle of the Dukes of Brittany, several historical neighborhoods and magnificent wharfs. Excursion to the seaside town of Saint-Nazaire, a city by the sea. A valid form of identification (passport) will be needed to access the site). Evening of dancing on board. Overnight stop.

Day 7: SAINT-NAZAIRE - ANCENIS

Full board on board. Arriving in Ancenis in the early afternoon. Excursion to the Muscadet region. We’ll stop at the Château Cassemichère and the charming medieval city of Clisson. Evening of entertainment. Overnight stop.

Day 8: ANCENIS - ANGERS - ANCENIS

Full board on board. Guided tour of Angers. Angers was the capital of the historical Anjou province and is distinguished not only by its legacy, but also by its modern nature. Evening of entertainment provided by the crew. Overnight stop.

Day 9: ANGERS - The Châteaux of the Loire Valley – ANCENIS

Full board. Full day’s excursion to the Châteaux of the Loire Valley : the Château d'Azay-le-Rideau, the Château de Villandry, the Château d’Ussé. Gala evening. Our ship will leave for Nantes, and cruise through the night.

Day 10: NANTES - Cognac - BORDEAUX

Full board. We’ll leave by coach from Nantes for Cognac, guided tour by tourist train and visit of a cognac merchants, wine tasting. Visit the musée des Arts du Cognac (The Art of Cognac Museum). We’ll continue to Bordeaux. Boarding, new crew presentation and welcome drink. Overnight stop.

Day 11: BORDEAUX - PAUILLAC

Full board on board. We will sail down the Garonne to the Gironde, passing alongside the islands of Cazeau and Patiras before reaching Pauillac. Built long ago by wine merchants and sea captains, Pauillac has managed to preserve the former mansions of the old nobility along its waterfront, constructed with great blocks of stone. In the afternoon, excursion to the Médoc. Nestled between the ocean and an estuary, the Médoc is a renowned region where the most famous of all the red wines in the world is produced. Evening of entertainment on board. Overnight stop.

Day 12: PAUILLAC - Gironde Estuary- BLAYE

Full board on board. Morning spent cruising on the Gironde to the estuary. Arriving in Blaye, we'll see the superb citadel that once protected the city from invaders. Excursion on the Route de la Corniche. The narrow, picturesque road follows the Dordogne until arriving at the Gironde estuary. Evening of dancing. Overnight stop.

Day 13: BLAYE - LIBOURNE or BOURG(3) - SAINT-EMILION

Full board on board. Our ship will join the Dordogne River, arriving in Libourne. In the afternoon, excursion to Saint-Emilion. We will take a guided tour of Saint-Emilion's underground monuments, discovering the rich history of this medieval city. We'll finish up with a wine tasting. Evening of entertainment provided by the crew. Overnight stop.

Day 14: LIBOURNE or BOURG(3) - BORDEAUX

Full board on board. Cruise to Bordeaux. Guided tour of Bordeaux, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll leave by coach for a panoramic tour of the city, where you’ll be able to discover the main monuments. Gala evening. Overnight stop.

Day 15: BORDEAUX

Buffet breakfast on board. Disembark at 9:00 a.m. End of our services.

For navigational safety reasons, the company and the captain are the only authorized persons who can modify the cruise itinerary. The cruise schedule may vary according to tides and arrival times at ports of call may be subject to change. (1) Valid for a minimum of 35 participants. If this number is not reached, the excursion will be replaced by a visit of the Château de Malmaison. For the excursion to Versailles, the gardens are accessible for an additional fee on Saturdays and Sundays from April to October, as well as Tuesdays from July to October because of special events. The additional entry fee is between €7.50 and €8.50 per person. The gardens are accessible free of charge on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. (2) The Château de Malmaison is closed on Tuesdays. It will be replaced by a visit to the Château d’Auvers. (3) Depending on tides, the stopover in Libourne might be replaced by Bourg. The order of the visits can change. Alcohol can be dangerous to your health. Please drink in moderation.
