Strasbourg - PRAGUE - LINZ - VIENNA - BUDAPEST - BRATISLAVA - DURNSTEIN - MELK - LINZ - Strasbourg

DAY 1: Strasbourg - PRAGUE

Departure by coach in Strasbourg (gare fluviale, rue du Havre). Stop for a free lunch. Arrival in Prague and welcome by our guide. Checking in a 3 star-hotel in Prague or the surrounding area. Dinner. Free evening.

DAY 2: PRAGUE

Visit of Hradcany, the area around the Prague Castle, which towers majestically over the capital of the Czech Republic. Visit of the Mala Strana quarter and the Charles Bridge. Return to the hotel. Free evening

DAY 3: PRAGUE - LINZ

Departure by coach toward Linz. Boarding in Linz and settling into your cabin. Departure of the cruise for Vienna. Presentation of the crew during the welcome cocktail, dinner, evening on board.

 

DAY 4 VIENNA

Arrival early in the morning. Optional excursions proposed :
CLASSIC : guided tour of Schœnbrunn castle, summer residence of the imperial family and part of Vienna, imperial city and cradle of music.
DISCOVERY : The high art of Viennese living: music and Viennese cafes. We’ll stroll through the city and visit back stage in the Konzerthaus concert hall. After our tour, enjoy a steaming cup of Vienna Coffee and a delicious pastry.
Free afternoon, optional excursion proposed : visit to the Hofburg, the Habsburg Palace houses the sumptuous imperial apartments. Optional excursions proposed :
CLASSIC : tour of Vienna by night.
DISCOVERY : Onboard waltzing lessons.
Departure of the boat during the night for Budapest.

DAY 5 BUDAPEST

Morning spent cruising. In the afternoon, optional excursions proposed :
CLASSIC : guided tour of Budapest, the incarnation of the sharp contrast between twin cities divided by the Danube and united since 1872.
DISCOVERY : Budapest by bike. You’ll see all the important sights of the city on an easy-paced ride, cycling through the historical center of Hungarian culture and many other of the legendary sites in Budapest.
Evening of “operetta music” on board.

DAY 6 BUDAPEST, the Puszta

Free day in Budapest (excluding lunch) or optional excursion common for both packages : full-day excursion to the Puszta(Typical lunch included). Also called the Great Plain, in the 19th century, this vast prairie was the Wild West of Hungary and immense herds of livestock grazed here under the watchful eye of the cowboys. Dinner on board. Sailing at night.


DAY 7 BRATISLAVA

Morning spent cruising. In the afternoon, optional excursions proposed :
CLASSIC : guided tour of Bratislava. The charm of the Slovakian capital lies in its old city: splendid Baroque palaces, churches and pleasant squares.
DISCOVERY : Hiking in Bratislava: the Little Carpathians. From Devin Castle, we’ll take in the splendid view of Bratislava.
Cruise to Durnstein. Gala evening.

DAY 8 DURNSTEIN - MELK

Discover of Durnstein, steeped in the legend of Richard the Lionheart. Cruise to Melk. Crossing the wonderful Wachau. Arrival in Melk and optional excursion common for both packages : guided tour of the benedictine abbey of Melk. You will be able to admire the Baroque marble hall, library and abbey church. Cruise to Linz.

DAY 9 LINZ - Strasbourg

Arrival in Linz early in the morning. Breakfast on board. Disembarkation at 9.00am. Departure by coach to Strasbourg. Lunch on your own along the way. Arrival in the evening. End of our services.
