Board the ship at 4.00pm and enjoy some time to settle comfortably in your cabins before meeting the crew. At 5.00pm we set off cruising along the Danube towards the border between Austria and Germany through the attractive region of Engelhartszell. A welcome cocktail reception will be organised on board. Evening on board.
DAY 2: PASSAU - MELK - VIENNA
Excursion for both packages: Visit the Melk Abbey. We'll return to the ship and cruise on to Dürnstein. Enjoy some free time exploring this picturesque village, and its Baroque-style church—the most famous in the Wachau region thanks to the legend of King Richard the Lionheart. We'll return on board in the afternoon before cruising on to Vienna. After our arrival, excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Tour the illuminated sights of Vienna.
DISCOVERY as a supplement: Come to the lounge and learn to waltz with traditionally costumed dancers.
We'll remain in port overnight.
DAY 3: VIENNA - ESZTERGOM
CLASSIC: Visit Schoenbrunn Palace.
DISCOVERY as a supplement: The high art of Viennese living: Music and Viennese cafes.
Enjoy a free afternoon to explore this marvelous city at your own pace or take part in our optional excursion (not included in packages): Horse-drawn carriage ride though Vienna. We'll return to the ship and cruise to Budapest, passing Bratislava on the way. Tonight is our festival gala evening.
DAY 4: ESZTERGOM - BUDAPEST
Enjoy some time on your own exploring Esztergom, the former capital of Hungary. We'll then spend the afternoon cruising to Budapest. The Hungarian capital lies along the banks of the Danube and is one of the most attractive cities in Europe. Enjoy some free time sightseeing the city before returning to the ship. After dinner, join us for an excursion of Budapest at night.
DAY 5: BUDAPEST
Enjoy a day on your own or join the excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Guided tour of the city.
DISCOVERY as a supplement: Budapest by bike.
In the afternoon, take part in an excursion to discover the Gellert Baths and Spa (not included in the packages). After dinner, enjoy another free evening on your own or join us for an evening of traditional dancing in the city.
DAY 6: BUDAPEST
Today either having the day for yourselves (lunch not included) or, leave on a day excursion for both packages: trip to Puszta. Return to the ship early evening.
DAY 7: BUDAPEST
Morning at leisure in Budapest or excursion for both packages: tour to Gödöllö Royal Palace. Back on board and cruising at 1.00pm towards Bratislava. Entertaining evening on board.
DAY 8: BRATISLAVA - VIENNA
We'll arrive in Bratislava in the early morning excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Guided tour of Bratislava. The charm of the Slovakian capital lies in its old city: splendid Baroque palaces, churches and pleasant squares.
DISCOVERY as a supplement: Hiking in Bratislava: The Little Carpathians. From Devin Castle, we'll take in the splendid view of Bratislava.
Our ship will cruise to Vienna. Enjoy a free evening or join us for the excursions proposed:
CLASSIC: Vienna by night.
DISCOVERY as a supplement: Onboard waltzing lessons.
DAY 9: VIENNA
Free morning for individual sightseeing around Vienna. This imperial city, or excursion for both packages: guided visit of Vienna and the Capuchin Crypt. Return to the ship. Choose a free afternoon, or optional excursion for both packages: to Hofburg to visit the former palace of the Habsburgs and admire the crown jewels and splendid imperial apartments. After dinner, optional excursion for both packages: concert of Viennese music (optional and subject to availability).
The ship cruises on after midnight.
DAY 10: MELK - PASSAU
Morning cruising along the most beautiful stretch of the Wachau region to arrive in Melk around 9.00am. Free time. Return to the ship, in the afternoon, excursion for both packages: to Arstetten Castle, last residence of Archduke Franz-Ferdinand and his wife. Return to the ship before cruising off towards Passau. Gala evening on board.
DAY 11: PASSAU
Disembarkation at 9.00am. End of our services.
