STRASBOURG - SPEYER - MANNHEIM - WORMS - MAINZ - COLOGNE

DAY 1: STRASBOURG

Passengers are welcome to board our ship at 6:00 p.m. in Strasbourg. After comfortably settling into your cabins, we'll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail. We'll remain in port overnight.

DAY 2: STRASBOURG - SPEYER

In the morning, we'll set off on a guided tour of Strasbourg and its cathedral (1) (transportation not included). Famous for its single spire and astronomical clock, this cathedral is widely considered among the finest examples of late Gothic architecture. The famous west front is decorated with thousands of figures, and its spire measures over 466 feet. The cathedral is built out of red sandstone from the nearby Vosges Mountains, which gives it its characteristic pink hue. We'll also visit the nearby Musée de l'Oeuvre Notre-Dame (2), famous for its collection representing seven centuries of sculptures, glass windows, and architectural artifacts, as well as the building plans for the Strasbourg Cathedral and other great churches in the region. Afterwards, we'll return on board and spend the afternoon cruising. After dinner, join us for an evening of entertainment on board. We'll arrive in Speyer during the evening.

DAY 3: SPEYER - MANNHEIM - WORMS

This morning, we'll set out on a guided tour on foot of Speyer and its cathedral (1). Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this cathedral has maintained the overall form and dimensions of the original 11th-century Romanesque structure. Its design set the standard for the many churches built in the Rhineland. After our visit, we'll return to our ship and cruise towards Mannheim. Join us for an excursion to visit Heidelberg (transportation not included). Dominated by its red sandstone castle perched above, the city has preserved its unequaled charm. We'll return on board in Worms and enjoy dinner and an evening of dancing in the lounge.

DAY 4: WORMS - MAINZ

In the morning, join us for a guided tour on foot of Worms and its cathedral (1). This cathedral is one of the finest examples of High Romanesque architecture in Germany. Its highly distinctive appearance from the outside contrasts with its simple and modest interior. We'll return to our ship and cruise towards Mainz. Once we arrive, we'll have a tour on foot of the Mainz Cathedral (1) and its museum (2). The three-nave cathedral is predominantly Romanesque in architecture, but later additions over many centuries have led to the interesting architectural combinations existing today. Afterwards, we'll return on board and cruise towards Cologne throughout the night.

Day 5: MAINZ - COLOGNE

We'll spend the morning cruising. In the afternoon, we'll leave for a guided tour on foot of Cologne and its magnificent Gothic cathedral (1), which was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage site in 1996. We'll then visit the Fragrance Museum Farina-House and learn about the birthplace of the Eau de Cologne. The museum also houses a collection of art objects, paintings and furniture reflecting the Farine perfume dynasty, starting with the Rococo era. We'll return on board for our gala dinner and evening.

DAY 6: COLOGNE
