DAY 1: BUDAPEST - LAKE BALATON (Hungary)
Upon arrival in Budapest, you will be transferred by coach to Lake Balaton, a favorite short-vacation destination for Hungarians. Join us for a guided tour of Tihany, a popular recreational area with beaches on its eastern and western coasts. After some free time on your own, we’ll head for Balatonfüred, one of the oldest health resorts on the northern shores of the lake. We’ll spend the night at the hotel.
DAY 2: LAKE BALATON - VARAZDIN - SISAK (Croatia)
You’ll be transferred by coach to Vara?din for a tour of the town. After lunch, we’ll continue to Sisak, arriving in the late afternoon. Passengers are welcome to board our ship at 6:00 p.m. Enjoy a welcome cocktail with the crew before dinner and an evening of entertainment. We'll remain in port overnight.
DAY 3: SISAK (Croatia) - ZAGREB (1) - SISAK
Join us for an optional excursion to Zagreb, with a lunch of regional delicacies included. The harmonious combination of architecture and green spaces makes Zagreb perfect for sightseeing. Dinner will be served on board.
DAY 4: SISAK - JASENOVAC (Croatia)
We’ll cruise to Jasenovac and visit the Lonjsko Polje protected wetland. We’ll also have a taste of some regional products at an authentically decorated Slovenian farm. Enjoy an evening of onboard entertainment.
DAY 5: JASENOVAC - SLAVONSKI BROD
We’ll cruise to Slavonski Brod, dominated by the Brod Citadel, built in the 18th century to protect the Austro-Hungarian Empire from Turkish invasions. Next, we set off by coach on our optional excursion through the green and “Fertile Plains of Slavonia.” We’ll continue on to the village of Stara Kapela. We’ll be welcomed by the local villagers and invited to try their specialties while listening to traditional music.
DAY 6: SLAVONSKI BROD (Croatia) - BRCKO (Bosnia)
Enjoy a stroll through Br?ko. The pedestrian street, lined with traditional buildings, contrasts with the adjacent streets where the ruins of the recent conflicts live side by side with modern constructions. We’ll enjoy an evening of traditional entertainment.
DAY 7: BRCKO (Bosnia) - SREMSKA MITROVICA (Serbia)
We’ll cruise to Sremska Mitrovica. Join us for an excursion across the Vojvodina. There are more than 16 Orthodox monasteries and we’ll have the opportunity to absorb Serbian art - a mix of Byzantine and Baroque styles. We’ll continue to Sremski Karlovci, a peaceful little town of some 9,000 inhabitants on the banks of the Danube. Enjoy a stroll through Sremska Mitrovica.
DAY 8: SREMSKA MITROVICA - BELGRADE (Serbia)
We’ll cruise through the night towards Belgrade.
Once we arrive, join us for a guided tour of the city, the cradle of the Austro-Hungarian, Ottoman and Slavic cultures.
We’ll enjoy an evening of traditional entertainment in Belgrade. Our ship will begin to cruise to Novi Sad during the night.
DAY 9: NOVI SAD (Serbia) - ILOK (Croatia) - VUKOVAR (Croatia)
Join us for a guided visit of Novi Sad, the industrial and financial center of the Serbian economy and a major cultural center. We’ll then cruise to Ilok. During our optional excursion of the mediaeval city of Ilok, we’ll also visit the Djakovo Stud Farms. We’ll return to the ship in Vukovar in time for dinner as our cruise continues, arriving in Osijek during the night.
DAY 10: OSIJEK (Croatia) - BATINA (Croatia) - MOHACS (Hungary)
Join us for an optional excursion to Osijek and the Kopacki Rit nature park. We’ll then head to Batina, boarding the ship for lunch. Our cruise will continue to Mohács and Budapest, where we’ll enjoy a Gala Dinner on board followed by an evening of entertainment.
DAY 11: BUDAPEST (Hungary)
We’ll arrive in Budapest in the morning. Enjoy breakfast before disembarking.
