PARIS - VERNON - ROUEN - DUCLAIR - HONLFEUR - Mont st Michel - NANTES - ST NAZAIRE - ANCENIS - ANGERS - ANCENIS - NANTES

Day 1: PARIS

Boarding around 6:00 p.m. Crew presentation and cocktail drink. Dinner and cruise along the Seine (water level permitting) to take in enchanting Paris by night. We'll glide gently past the Eiffel Tower, the Grand Palais, the Orangerie, the Louvre and Notre-Dame Cathedral, which dominates the Ile de la Cité. Overnight stop.

Day 2: PARIS - VERNON

Full board on board. We'll pass the impressive concrete and glass buildings of the futuristic business district of La Défense. Guided tour of the Versailles Château (1) one of the most famous and prestigious historical monuments in the world. On Mondays, the trip to Versailles will be replaced by a trip to the Château de Malmaison(2). Return on board in Mantes-la-Jolie and continue cruising to Vernon. Overnight stop.

Day 3:VERNON - ROUEN - DUCLAIR

Full board on board. This morning, cruise pass Les Andelys and Amfreville. Arrival in Rouen, guided tour of the former capital of Normandy. Cruise to Duclair, and depending on the tides, arrival in Honfleur in the evening. Gala evening.

Day 4: DUCLAIR - HONFLEUR

Full board on board. This morning, full-day excursion: The Beaches of Normandy (maximum 30 participants), to see the sites of one of the most important events of the 20th century: the landing of the Allies in France. Free evening in the lovely Honfleur port. Overnight stop.

Day 5: HONFLEUR - Mont Saint-Michel - NANTES

Full board on board. Transfer by coach for Mont Saint-Michel and guided visit of the abbey. The Mont was dedicated to Saint Michael in 708 when, according to legend, Saint Aubert was visited by the Archangel himself and instructed to build the monastery.  Transfer by coach to Nantes. Boarding around 6:00 p.m. Crew presentation and welcome drink. Cruise on what King Francois Ist called the “most beautiful river in France”: The Erdre.

Day 6: NANTES – SAINT-NAZAIRE

Full board on board. Guided tour of Nantes. Nantes offers a stunning diversity of sites, including the Castle of the Dukes of Brittany, several historical neighborhoods and magnificent wharfs. Excursion to the seaside town of Saint-Nazaire, one of the largest and well-renowned in Europe. A valid form of identification (passport) will be needed to access the site. Evening of dancing on board. Overnight stop.

Day 7: SAINT-NAZAIRE – ANCENIS

Full board on board. Arriving in Ancenis in the early afternoon. Excursion to the Muscadet region, passing through many villages reflecting the strong identity of the wine region. Evening of entertainment on board. Overnight stop.

Day 8: ANCENIS – ANGERS – ANCENIS

Full board on board. Morning spent cruising. Guided tour of Angers. Angers was the capital of the historical Anjou province and is distinguished not only by its legacy, but also by its modern nature. Evening of entertainment provided by the crew. Overnight stop.

Day 9: ANGERS – The Châteaux of the Loire Valley – ANCENIS

Full board. Full day’s excursion to the Châteaux of the Loire Valley, the Château d'Azay-le-Rideau a French national monument, the Château de Villandry and the Château d’Ussé. Gala evening. Cruise to Nantes through the night.

Day 10: NANTES

Buffet breakfast on board. Disembark at 9:00 a.m. End of our services.

 

 

For the safety of our passengers, the captain and crew of the boat may decide to modify the navigational itinerary. (1) Available for a minimum of 35 persons otherwise this excursion will be replaced by the visit of Malmaison Château. For the Versailles Château excursion, there is a charge for entry into the gardens on Saturdays and Sundays from April to October and on Tuesdays from July to October because of special events: Musical Fountains Show (Saturday-Sunday / €8.50 per pers.), Musical Gardens (Tuesday / €7.50 per pers.). On Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, garden access is free. (2) The Malmaison Château is closed on Tuesday, so if the stop falls on a Tuesday, the optional guided tour will be at Auvers-sur-Oise Château. Alcohol can damage your health. Please drink in moderation.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THE TOUR TO VERSAILLES

Over the years, it has become increasingly difficult to book group entrances on a last-minute basis. Therefore, since March 2009, we only offer this tour for a minimum of 35 persons. If we are not able to offer the Versailles tour (because of insufficient booking), a tour of Malmaison Château be offered instead. We remind you that Versailles Château is closed on Monday.
