DAY 1 PARIS
We meet in Paris for embarkation. Cabins will be available from 6.00pm. We are introduced to the crew over a welcome drink in the lounge/bar. After dinner in the on-board restaurant, we have a traditional evening of entertainment with a "Titi Parisien" theme. The ship sets sail during the night.
DAY 2 PARIS - LES ANDELYS - VERNON - HONFLEUR
Morning spent cruising. During our cruise, we have a magnificent view of the Roche Guyon. We arrive in les Andelys around 1.30pm.
Excursions proposed :
CLASSIC : visit of the Martainville castle, the sumptuous second home of a 15th century banker. Today the chateau houses the museum of norman art and traditions and has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1951. We head by coach to Elbeuf where we return on board around 6.30pm.
DISCOVERY as a supplement : Chateau Gaillard. From Les Andelys, we’ll walk to the Château Gaillard. Come discover this ruined medieval castle and its gorgeous views overlooking the small city of Les Andelys and one of the loveliest bends in the Seine.
DAY 3 HONFLEUR
Excursion common for both packages : Honfleur and Pont l’Evêque. Leave by coach for Pont l’Evêque, a charming Norman city. We’ll take a guided tour and see such sites as the gardens of the former Dominican convent. We'll continue our tour with a tasting of the small, square-shaped cheese that has carried the town's name since the 12th century. We’ll then return to Honfleur for a guided tour on foot. Our tour will finish with a visit to Saint Léonard Church.
The afternoon, excursions proposed :
CLASSIC : stroll in La Côte d’Albâtre between cliffs and villages, Benedictine liqueur tasting at the end of the visit.
DISCOVERY as a supplement : Hike across the Etretat cliffs, the most spectacular phenomenon of coast erosion.
Or join a full-day optional excursion (lunch included) to the Landing Beaches (available for advance bookings only and for a minimum of 30 people). One of the great turning points of the 20th century happened in France during the D-Day Landings of the Allied Forces in Normandy.
DAY 4 HONFLEUR - DUCLAIR - ROUEN
Excursion common for both packages : guided trip to discover the abbeys trail, beginning with the abbey of Saint-Wandrille (outdoor). We continue to Jumièges where we find the ruins of one of the most beautiful abbeys in all of France, as well as the church of Saint Pierre. We return on board in Rouen around midday.
The afternoon, excursion common for both packages : guided tour of Rouen.
We return on board and set sail again, heading back to Paris. Evening of music and entertainment on board. We continue our journey through the night.
DAY 5 ROUEN - PARIS
Morning spent cruising. We pass the towns of Poissy with its fine old Bridge where the banks of the Seine have been beautifully landscaped, Conflans Sainte Honorine and Chatou, a very important location in the history of impressionism. As we arrive, we cruise past the futuristic district of La Défense with its most impressive concrete and glass architecture. We arrive in the early afternoon. Excursions proposed :
CLASSIC : panoramic tour of Paris.
DISCOVERY as a supplement : Stroll on the banks of the Seine, the bridges of Paris. We’ll set out from the Quai de Grenelle for a stroll along the banks of the Seine. The banks of the Seine were added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1991.
Cruise through “Paris by night” (depending on the water level).
DAY 6 PARIS
Disembarkment around 9.00am. End of our journey.
