Cruise the Guadalquivir and the Guadiana





Passengers are welcome to board our ship starting at 5 p.m. Presentation of our crew and welcome cocktail. Dinner on board. Enjoy a free evening in Seville. Overnight.


Full board on board. Guided tour of Seville. The city of Seville is truly a bewitching artistic and cultural city. Set off to explore the cathedral, the Alcazar palace (closed on Mondays) and its Andalusian gardens, Maria Luisa Park and the attractive district of Santa Cruz. Return on board. Afternoon spend sailing along the great river Guadalquivir. The name comes from the Arabic “al-wadi al-kabir”, meaning “Great Valley”, and is evocative of when the Moors reigned over Al-Andalus. Arrival in Cádiz in the evening. After dinner, flamenco show in Cádiz (1). Overnight.

GOLFERS: Day at Novo Sancti Petri in Cádiz. This course follows the traditional layout with 9 holes out and 9 holes in and is flat and comfortable. It has a wide diversity of flowers and birds; and numerous olive groves, holm oaks and pines border the wide fairways. We'll enjoy lunch at the club.
NON-GOLFERS' PROGRAM: Excursion to Jerez, the Andalusian capital of wine and horses and the cradle of flamenco music. Discovery of the cathedral and the Alcazar palace. Our tour will continue with a visit to a “ganadería” (a property where bulls are raised) and the chance to learn about this living symbol of Spanish culture. Return on board for lunch followed by a guided tour of Cádiz and its cathedral.
Return on board. Evening of entertainment. Cruise during the night to Alcoutim.


Full board on board. Sailing along the Guadiana up river to Alcoutim. Sit back and take in the fabulous landscapes. Arrival in Alcoutim and free time to explore on your own before returning on board. The cruise departs once more for Vila Real de San Antonio that we will reach in late afternoon. Free time in Vila Real (the town center and beach are close to the mooring). Portuguese-themed dinner on board, followed by an evening of traditional Portuguese entertainment. Overnight.

GOLFERS: Morning at Costa Bellena golf in Puerto de Santa Maria. This golf complex located on the coast near Cadiz, offers a magnificent course designed by José Maria Olazabal. It is flat with slight undulations with some holes directly on the coast with strategically placed bunkers and lakes dotted around the course. The 27 holes will offer a challenge for every golfer whatever his handicap.
NON-GOLFERS' PROGRAM: departure by coach for the excursion to the Osborne cellar and tasting of local wines.
Return on board and cruise toward El Puerto de Santa Maria. We will pass through the Doñana National Park, designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and a Biosphere Reserve, and the city of Sanlucar de Barrameda, where the river joins the Atlantic Ocean. Tour of a genuine Andalusian hacienda located on the banks of the Guadalquivir followed by an equestrian show. Return on board and cruise to Seville. Cruising during the night.

GOLFERS: Day at Hato Verde golf in Seville. This new golf complex located in the north suburb of Seville, has been designed by the famous Spanish Ryder Cup, Manuel Pinero. It is located in a lush environment, surrounded by oaks and poplars. This original ground of 50 hectares is strewed with villas, channels, lakes and bunker presenting a real challenge for the players, with its narrow channels and its diverse obstacles. Return on board late in the afternoon.

NON-GOLFERS' PROGRAM: Full-day excursion to Granada. Departure early in the morning by coach to Granada, and guided visit of the town. Ringed by the imposing mountainous barrier of the Sierra Nevada. Granada - famous for its lively atmosphere - is built on three hills: the Albaicin, the Sacromonte and the Alhambra. We'll visit the Alhambra: a palace straight out of the 1001 Nights. Discovery of the Generalife, a pleasure palace with attached romantic gardens, remarkable both for its location and layout, as well as for the diversity of its flowers, plants and fountains. Lunch in a restaurant and little free time early afternoon in Granada before.
Evening of entertainment on board. Overnight.

GOLFERS: Day trip to Zaudin in Seville. This is one of the best golf clubs in Seville designed by golf legend Gary Player. The course winds through ancient olive and orange groves and presents a challenge to golfers of all abilities. We'll return on board our ship at the end of the afternoon. We'll enjoy lunch at the club.
NON-GOLFERS' PROGRAM: Tour of Córdoba. Departure by coach in the morning to head for Córdoba, once part of the Caliphate of Cordoba. Guided tour of the city and discovery of the mosque-cathedral, a veritable forest of 856 columns adorned with jasper, granite and precious marble; as well as the Juderia, the former Jewish quarter; its white lanes adorned with flowers and its typical houses opening onto their superb patios. Lunch in a restaurant and free time to explore the city in the afternoon. Return to the boat in Seville.
Gala evening, with free time afterward.


Buffet breakfast on board. Disembark in the morning. End of our services.
