DAY 1 VENICE
Boarding at 6.00pm in Venice. Settling into your cabins. Welcome cocktail reception served in the lounge. Dinner on board and free evening in Venice. Overnight stop.
DAY 2 VENICE - CHIOGGIA - PADUA - TAGLIO DI PO - POLESELLA
Cruise to Chioggia,where we arrive late morning. Guided tour of Padua, the town of St Antoine di Padova, but also famous for art and pilgrimages. Following a visit to the “Santo” basilica (closed on sundays), dedicated to St. Antoine, take a stroll through the historic town centre and discover the “Café Pedrocchi”, dear to the inhabitants of Padua. Meanwhile, the ship cruises to Taglio di Po(1) where you will join it around 7.00pm. If you do not choose to go on the excursion to Padua, a transfer is established to stop in the famous resort of Sottomarina. There you will have some free time to enjoy its beautiful promenade by the sea (possibility of bathing) or the city center with its pleasant places of Europe, Italy or Torado. Then drive to Taglio Di Po where we join our boat for entertainement in the lounge. Overnight stop.
DAY 3 POLESELLA - FERRARA - VERONA - TAGLIO DI PO
Guided visit of Ferrara, awarded World heritage status by Unesco, this town was home to the Este Court. Early afternoon, set off by coach to visit Verona, a truly fine Italian city of Romeo and Juliet fame, with its Roman theatre. Return to the ship in Polesella before sailing on to Taglio di Po to arrive in the evening. Overnight stop.
DAY 4 TAGLIO DI PO - CHIOGGIA (or nearby) - VENICE
Departure by coach to Chioggia(2). We will stop at Adria, which will allow you to discover this charmful city which the Adriatic Sea is named after. Then we continue towards Chioggia. Port city of Roman origin, it is the second largest city of the republic serene and contains works and testimonials from various periods and various styles. Take some time to stroll round and discover the town for yourselves. Return on board in Chioggia(1). Cruise to Venice. Guided tour of the Doge's Palace, symbol of the glory and power of Venice, and the famous Piazza San Marco. Back on board in the evening. Free evening . Overnight stop.
DAY 5 VENICE - BURANO - VENICE
This morning, included excursion common for both packages to visit the lagoon islands of Murano and Burano. Burano, a fishing island, is famous for its traditional lacework. Murano is famous for its glass work not forgetting the fine churches of St. Maria and St. Donato, one of the oldest in the lagoon.
Free afternoon to explore Venice independently on foot or perhaps take an optional gondola trip (booking and settlement on board). Return on board. Gala evening. Overnight stop.
DAY 6 VENICE
Breakfast buffet on board. Disembark at 9.00am. End of our journey.
