Egypte
Egypt has increased security throughout the country over the past few years. Please be advised that systematic searches (body, bag, accessory, etc.) happen near all the sites we visit, in ports, and anywhere the government deems necessary. Moreover, road checks operated by the Egyptian army are very common and can considerably slow down traffic, thereby increasing the excursion time.
Our on-site teams do everything they can to reduce the wait time at different checkpoints and to maximize our passengers' comfort. Nevertheless, the rules apply to everyone, and CroisiEurope has no influence over them.
Sainte-Catherine
Saint Catherine's Eastern Orthodox Monastery is a working monastery, independent of any tourist or government body. The monks control when they accept visitors at the monastery, and they can decide unexpectedly to remain closed or to change the visiting hours without any notice. Neither CroisiEurope nor its on-site partners have any influence in this regard. If the monastery is closed to visits, CroisiEurope will organize an alternative—for example, an additional stopover in Eilat, Israel to visit Timna Park.
Nuweiba
Egyptian ports are governed by the Egyptian government. The Egyptian authorities can refuse access to Nuweiba Port unexpectedly. CroisiEurope and its partners cannot change these situations. If this occurs, the ship will go to or remain in Sharm El-Sheikh, and excursions will be carried out from there. Round-trip travel time by coach for Saint Catherine's Eastern Orthodox Monastery will be increased from four hours (R/T from Nuweiba) to six hours (R/T from Sharm El-Sheikh).
