Transfer by coach to the Besançon Citadel, one of Vauban's great masterpieces (must be booked in advance with your travel agent or tour operator before the cruise). You will learn about the history of this exceptional defensive site in the company of your guide, from its construction through to the present day. It is today listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. After the visit, you will have free time to walk around in the citadel. Return on board (on foot or by coach, depending on program).
