Melk Abbey, in Austria

Overhanging the Danube River, the Abbey is listed as a World Heritage monument by UNESCO and belongs to the most impressive baroque edifice in Europe. For 900 years, it has sheltered Benedictine order monks, after being built as a fortified castle for the Bebenberg. Founded in the 11^th century, the actual construction of the Benedictine abbey dates from the baroque period and are the masterpiece of the architect Jakob Prandtauer. You will get to visit the marble library from the same era.

Budapest, The Pearl of the Danube

Buda to the East, Pest to the West, the city is furrowed on both sides by the Danube River. From our boats you will admire the impressive Hungarian Parliament on the right bank, reflecting itself outstandingly in the Danube River. On the left bank stands the imposing Buda Castle overhanging the river. You may also visit the Royal Palace of Gödöllő, biggest baroque palace of Hungary, favourite summer household of the Austrian Empress ; Sissi. End up relaxing yourself in one of the most renowned thermal baths of the city: Gellért Baths.

The Iron Gates 

Between the Carpathian Mountains and The Balkans, these impressive canyons extend for 135 kilometres, and separate Romania and Serbia. Entering the canyon, there overhangs the Gobulac Fortress, a medieval Serbian city fortified from the 14^th century. This architectural achievement with its 10 towers amounting 25 metres high overlooks the Danube River. From the Sun Deck of our ships, appreciate this spectacular landscape parade while the river is dominated by stone walls reaching up to 600 metres high!
