Food tour of little-known neighborhoods in Venice
Galerie Photos
Venetian cuisine is brimming with variety and delicacies. It incorporates the diverse backgrounds of the Venetian population to propose the best the sea and land have to offer in the region. The Rialto Market (closed on Sunday) in the San Polo District is the natural starting point for this tour. We’ll stroll among the vegetable and fruit stands and witness the fishmongers in action. After, we’ll leave the hustle and bustle of the crowds behind us and head over to the laid-back Cannaregio District to poke around at what it has to offer. At the end of the tour, we’ll take a seat in a typical osteria to snack on cicchetti, Italian tapas-like morsels.
