You’ll be transferred from the harbor to Ploce, a neighborhood located on the eastern side of the city, where you’ll set out on a 16th-century trail. At the hamlet of Bosanka, you’ll begin the ascent to Mount Srd. This small mountain sits directly behind the ancient, fortified area of Dubrovnik and provides natural protection against the northern winds. Throughout history, the fort has defended the city from numerous attackers. Your ascent will continue to Dubrovnik’s Fort Imperial, which was used most recently as a military base in the 1990s during the Yugoslav Wars. The unobstructed view from the top provides a breathtaking perspective of the magnificent bay below. On the way back, you'll wind your way through the Old Town.
